Depending on the logistics and intention, we use different sound healing instruments to create the desired therapeutic ambience.  At VAST we use different types of Gongs, Tibetan Singing Bowls, Crystal Singing Bowls and Pyramids, Chimes, Rainsticks, Rattles, and other sound healing instruments to provide a soothing, relaxed or meditative experience.

We look forward to hearing from you soon,

Team Kind Karma® - Dean, Naomi, Heidi

What is Sound Therapy?

Sound Therapy

Quantum physics has proven that everything has vibration, whether it’s a person, car, tree, a chair or a planet.  When we use sound coupled with intention we can direct sound vibration to raise the body’s vibrational frequency.  Sound therapy combines powerful vibration and tones to induce an immediate relaxed state.  The induction of the sound waves with soothing ambient tones is such a strong application that clients report effects ranging from a meditative state to deep relaxation.

How Does Sound Therapy Work?

Sometimes sound therapy is called a sound bath because it bathes your body with a cascade of sounds.  It affects the physical nervous system, not just hearing it through the ears, but the sensation of feeling it on the skin.  Sound travels and the body picks up the sound.  It’s a cleansing process for the subconscious mind.  It’s effortless; that’s why a lot of people are drawn to it.  The sound of the instruments, especially the gong, reaches the body on a cellular level, encouraging integrated healing of body, mind, and spirit, and the more gong sessions an individual  attends, the better the results.

How is it Different from Other Types of Sound Healing?

It’s the combination of overtones and undertones.  They make new undertones and overtones, so there’s a branching out of sound. It’s not like music that’s following a melody.  The logical, analytical part of the brain can’t figure it out.  It allows for that part of the mind to completely disengage and a person to connect to their spiritual self.  That’s what the gong is really good at, helping people to bridge from physical to meditative states.  During a sound bath, sound washes over you gently and creates a healing resonance – sound massage – in, and around, the body.

How Does a Sound Bath Work?

Everything you see around you is vibrating at a frequency, whether we hear it or not.  Sound frequencies can affect us on a cellular level, influence how we feel and function.  Sound therapeutic practices, such as playing a Gong, uses vibrational sound and frequency to help reduce stress, alter consciousness and create a deep sense of peace and well being.  Essentially you go into a deep state of meditation and relaxation and then the real work begins while you get bathed in the gentle sound waves.  Many people fall asleep and wake up feeling like they’ve had eight hours of sleep!

Sound Bath Meditation can aid in synchronizing the two hemispheres of the brain, enhancing brain health, fitness, and cognition. This synchronization is crucial because the more connected your hemispheres are, the better you can focus and perform optimally on tasks, resulting in increased productivity.
